Sunpath “Diamond Light Grid” phenomena
in Southern Africa
What are the Pathways to the Sun?
Unveiling the Ancient Mysteries at the tip of South Africa.
Little is known of the ancient peoples of South Africa – the Bushmen, Stone Age, Hottentot,San, Khoi Khoi and Strandloper people. Africa’s recorded history is scant compared with other civilizations around the globe. What is known about the early inhabitants of this region is that there was an ancient awareness and appreciation of the cycles of nature and the movements of the sun and moon. Documented (historical) records of ceremonies and rituals support this fact.
Following 20 years of intensive field research by Dean Liprini, he has revealed a remarkable phenomenon that indicates that the early people of South Africa were far more intelligent, respectful and in tune with the life forces and nature that supported them than we have imagined.
The scale and magnitude of the profiles, observatories and Markerstones covering an area over 800 kilometres long is monumental in proportion and defies explanation. Much work remains to be done to document all the known sites, many of which lie on privately owned land and are inaccessible to the public. This Mapping of the Southern African Sacred Sites is the primary objective of the Sacred Sites Foundation of Southern Africa, along with developing a strong network of Community Custodianship projects around the country.
The Pathway of the Sun Phenomenon
There is a mysterious grid network of geometrically aligned Solar and Lunar observatories across the southern tip of Africa – an archeo-astronomical discovery that can shed more light on our ancient African ancestry, and possibly a deeper insight to ancient African spirituality.
The above map shows the 3 main pathways of the sun that would have been recognized in ancient times namely; the Summer Solstice, the Equinox and the Winter Solstice.
On a flat grid at sunrise and sunset the sun creates 3 straight light paths (see map above)
1. The straight light path of the winter solstice sunrise and summer solstice sunset
2. The straight east-west light path of the equinox sunrise and sunset
3. The straight light path of the summer solstice sunrise and winter solstice sunset.
Geographically at the southern tip of Africa there are specific land marks best suited for the observation of the first and last rays of the rising and setting sun. Ancient man recognized these and it is here at these significant places where the amazing archeo-astronomical network of interconnected solar and lunar observatories have been re-discovered.
These sacred places first and last lit by the Fire of Life the Sun would have been pilgrimage sites of the ancient peoples.

Profiles and Observatories
Along these light paths, a systematic network of ancient stone observatories are in place to mark and monitor the movements of the sun and moon through the changing of the seasons. A remarkable feature of these observatories is that the Human Profile has been used as a unique sundial. These profiles are aligned to capture the first and last rays of the sun as they pass through the Eye Channel.
How Do These Observatories Work?
Aligned in a step pyramidal formula, the profiles and geometric marker rocks allow for a detailed observation of the sun, moon and stars journey across the sky using the different dimensions of Light, Shadow, Reflection and Refraction in a mystical and unique way.
This phenomenon symbolically represents a cosmological link between man, heaven and earth.
Profiles that are aligned at ninety degrees to the light source (sun/moon), cast a duplicate shadow profile onto various geometric marker rocks. Sometimes the eye socket of the profile takes the form of the ancient Greek bowl sundial used to monitor the light and shadow movements of the sun changing its altitude and direction.
This eye socket or bowl sundial, when filled with water, mirrors the sky above and reflects and refracts the light of the heavenly bodies (sun / moon / stars) passing overhead. It also appears that the multi-dimensional light grid is reflected in a geomorphic grid on the land that is further linked through the frequencies of the various observatories and the electro magnetic fields that are present at these sites. The physical nature of the rocks (quartz crystals, quartzite, iron, magnesium, silica etc.), the various fault lines and underground water flow also affect the electro magnetic field and frequencies along the so called energy/ley lines. These I believe are places that held great physical and spiritual healing properties that the ancient shamans used to heal themselves and others.
